Calling all unemployed youth of Gauteng.
Seeing that schools are reopening soon on the 1st of June 2020, the Gauteng Department of Education would like to invite unemployed youth as well as graduates between the ages of 18 and 35 to take part in the COVID-19 Brigades Program.
GDE (Gauteng Department of Education) is running this program to help curb the spread of the Corona Virus in schools and government buildings. The duty of the brigades will be:
1. Screening of the school stuff and learners
2.Data capturing
3. Monitoring compliance e.g. social distancing and sanitizing
The youth will be trained by Gauteng City Region Academy facilitators on how to take precautionary measures to help curb the spread of the virus. Deployed youth will be paid stipends by GDE.
