BREAKING: Missing 3-year-old child in Greensboro
From Greensboro Police Department: At 6:33p.m. on 10/9/2019, (a child) was reported abducted from the Philliips Avenue area.
Ahlora Ashanti Sample Lindiment is described as a black female, brown eyes, black hair, weighing approximately 40 pounds and is approximately 2’ tall.
She was last seen wearing a short-sleeve pink t-shirt, black jeans and possibly white sandals.
She was abducted by a black female in her 20’s, medium complexion, 5’6” approximately 135 lbs., hair was in a short ponytail.
She is wearing a short-sleeve black crop top & black pants with tiger print faces on them; a yellow strip on one leg and a white strip on the other leg; dark flip flops and a gold chain.

A new birth meant a new life; Salvation meant a changed life;
Following Christ led to eternal life.
Being a preacher meant you proclaimed the word of God;
Being a deacon meant you would serve the Lord;
Being a Christian meant you would live for Jesus;
And being a sinner meant someone was praying for you!
Laws were based on the Bible;
Homes read the Bible;
And churches taught the Bible.
Preachers were more interested in new converts than new clothes and new cars.
Church was where you found Christians on the Lord's day, rather than being entertained someway.
Give me that old time religion!

Boniface Igbeneghu, lecturer and former sub-dean of faculty of art at the University of Lagos (UNILAG), has been caught on camera sexually harassing an undercover reporter who posed as an admission seeker in the institution.
Igbeneghu, who is also head pastor of a Foursquare Gospel Church, was exposed in a 13-minute video documentary released by the BBC Africa Eye on Monday.

In the video, Igbeneghu told Kiki Mordi, the undercover reporter who posed as a 17-year-old admission seeker, how some lecturers in the institution tossed female students for sex.
He had invited the teenager to his office for a number of tutorials, before delving into sexual conversations with her.
“Do you know that you are a very beautiful girl?” he asked.
“Do you know that I am a pastor and I’m in my fifties. What will shock you is that even at my age now, if I want a girl of your age – a 17-year-old, all I need is to sweet tongue her and put some money in her hand and I’ll get her.”
The senior lecturer revealed how he and some of his colleagues patronise the UNILAG Staff club “cold room” to commit several sexual atrocities with female students of the institution.
He said in the cold room, lecturers meet to “touch students breast”.
“Do you want me to kiss you? Switch of the light, lock the door and I will kiss you for a minute. That’s what they do in cold room.”
In the video, the lecturer went to the bathroom, upon his return, he locked the door, switched off the light and embraced the “admission seeker”.
“You are too stiff. I can call you to come any day. If you don’t come, you know you are gone,” he threatened.
Authorities of UNILAG have refused to react to the cold room allegation.
Taiwo Oloyede, the university spokesperson, also told BBC that the institution has zero-tolerance for sex scandal.
Meanwhile, Paul Kwame, another lecturer from College of Education in Ghana, was also exposed in the documentary.
The documentary is coming a year after Richard Akindele, a professor at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), was accused of sexual harassment.

How policeman defiled me severally, by 9-year-old pupil.
A nine-year-old pupil (name withheld) on Wednesday narrated before an Ikeja Special Offences and Domestic Violence Court in Lagos how a 40-year-old policeman, Andy Eghobamien, lured her into his apartment and defiled her on numerous occasions.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the child made the revelation during the trial of Eghobamien on a one-count charge of defilement contrary to Section 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The child, who described herself as a primary five pupil of one of the schools in Lagos State, was led in evidence by Miss Inumidun Solarin, the state Prosecutor.
She said the defendant, who was her neighbour, had defiled her on various occasions and that on the last occasion, he had lured her into his apartment under the pretext of giving her N200 to buy milk for him.
The child told the court that Eghobamien after defiling her had hid her under his bed when her elder sister was frantically searching for her.
She said: “I know Brother Andy (the defendant). He is our neighbour, who lives at the back yard of our house. He is popularly known as ‘Officer’.
“On that day, Brother Andy called me when I got back from school and sent me on an errand. He sent me to go and buy milk for him. Then he gave me N200.
“I bought the milk and when I returned, he asked me to bring it inside his room. He then said I should drop the milk on the table and sit down.
“When I sat down, he now told me to lie on the bed and remove my pant. He now put his penis in my bum bum.
He put his penis at my front bum bum (she demonstrates by pointing at her vagina).
“After that, he asked me to hide under the bed when my elder sister came calling my name. One of our neighbours, Chioma, even entered his room to buy recharge card for him, though she didn’t see me, I saw her from under the bed.
“And because my elder sister was shouting my name and looking for me, officer told me to pretend like nothing happened and that I should pass through the backyard gate.”
The child said that when she was found by her sister she lied and said that she was at her friend’s house and that her sister had insisted that she took her to the friend’s house.
“I started begging her not to beat me, and I told her that I was inside officer’s room.
My sister beat me and reported to my father who was very angry.
“When my mummy came back from the market where she sells Abacha (African salad), my sister reported me again.
“This time my mummy threatened to kill me if I don’t tell her what happened.
I became afraid and told her the truth.
“Immediately my mummy called all her brothers and they came to our house the following morning and took us to Amukoko police station to report. It was after we made a report at the station that the police came and arrested Brother Andy,” she said.
The witness said she was referred by authorities to the Mirabel Center (a Sexual Assault Referral Center) where the doctors revealed that she had been sexually abused on several occasions by the defendant.
The prosecutor asked “How many times has he done such to you (sexual intercourse)?”
“Many times. I can’t really count,” the child responded.
While being cross-examined by Mr M.L. Ezomo, the Defence Counsel, the child said the reason why she did not report the abuse was because the policeman had threatened to kill her if she told anyone.
She also added: “no other person touched me except Brother Andy.”
NAN reports that according to the prosecution, the policeman allegedly defiled the nine-year-old child on June 6 at Amukoko area of Lagos.
Section 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos 2015 prescribes a life sentence for anyone found guilty of defilement.
Justice Sybil Nwaka adjourned the case until Oct. 30 for continuation of trial.

The Catholic Priest can marry-Pope Francis
The first Pope was married - it's time for the Catholic Church to move forward by going back. This was not always the "status quo".
Of one thing we are clear -- the first Pope, Peter, was married.
The three Synoptic Gospels recount how Peter's mother-in-law was healed by Jesus at their home in Capernaum (Matthew 8:14–17, Mark 1:29–31, Luke 4:38). These passages clearly depict Peter as being married.
That’s important, especially as this bravest of popes, Pope Francis, dared to raise the question of married priests last weekend.
The leader of the catholic church told an assembly of bishops at the Vatican that, when it comes to the controversial issue of priests being allowed to marry, they must not be "smothered by the ashes of fear and concern for defending the status quo."
But plenty Catholic Church officials still are. The Pope has been accused of heresy for a perfectly good idea. American Cardinal Raymond Bonke called the whole idea of the upcoming Synod a direct attack on the “lordship of Christ.” He has many fervent backers, especially in America.
The slippery slope argument holds here. Allow married men and women will demand access to the priesthood and so on.
Such arguments trivialize the seriousness of the issue. In a half-century, because of an utterly unnatural doctrine of celibacy, the Catholic Church will be clinging to life support and relevancy.

The Vatican is keenly aware of the crisis in vocations, especially in the Western world, with only African countries showing an increase in the numbers wanting to become priests.
There is a time and a tide, and this Pope sees clearly the extent of the crisis.
In a thinly-veiled warning about complacency, Francis stated, “If everything continues as it was, if we spend our days content that ‘this is the way things have always been done,’ then the gift vanishes, smothered by the ashes of fear and concern for defending the status quo.”

Ending celibacy as a requirement will not end the vocations crisis, but it would triage it. The question of how to get the missing flock back is another problem entirely.
Francis has shown great courage and insight to begin the much-needed discussion. He is on the right side of history.
After all Peter, a married Pope was the rock on whom the church was built. Francis clearly walks in his footsteps.

*They teach sinners faith and prayer without salvation and sanctity.* Anointing services without redemption and cleansing from sin.
Midnight warfares with hatred and unforgiveness in the heart.
Choir practices with lipshine on the lips.
Revival without holiness. And right from the church they go to the club and have fun, right after choir practice they go to sleep with their sin partners.
Dating is going on among the youths.
Youth coordinators have turned the youths into sex slaves, people commit abortion and come to sing *'you raise me up so l can stand on mountain* 🎶🎶🎶'.
Women now sew their dress and remove the back, and if you tell them, the reply is : *_'l am aware'_* .
They clothe themselves in rags and are happy in it - no wonder the Bible says their righteousness is as filthy rags.

The Ebonyi State Government is now privy of an online publication report titled 'Umahi to Ebonyians: Block my convoy again, get killed' filed and credited to Oswald Agwu of the Eagle Online, and circulating in the social media.
The title of the publication was designed to portray the Executive Governor,Engr David Nweze Umahi in bad light over an incidence where his life was in obvious danger.
His Excellency was approaching the State capital, Abakaliki when he encountered a barrier set up by unknown persons at Onicha Local Government. According to unconfirmed reports, the barrier may have been set up to curb traffick flow towards the venue of a wake keep ceremony.
His Excellency had observed the very slow response of the community in dismantling the barricade for the Governor's further movement. Suffice it to say that , the Governor was in the very know that such was a usual practice in Igbo land.
In the long wait, miscreants approached one of the Governor's security vehichles and made away with a firearm to the amazement of security details.
In displeasure, the Governor who was irked by disrespect and dishonor extended to the Office of the Ebonyi State Governor condenmed such act of brigandage and criminality calling for the prosecution of the culprits and with no references to the good people of Ebonyi State.
It is unfortunate that the online publication chose the title 'Umahi to Ebonyians: Block my convoy again, get killed' in flagrant disregard to essential professional codes of Journalism practice.
His Excellency, Engr. David Nweze Umahi, FNSE, FNATE will never address Ebonyi people in such a language, more so in a circumstance of misconduct creditable to a few disgruntled criminals within a community.
The Ebonyi State Government urges the editorial board of the online publication to uphold the highest standards in the filing of reports prior to circulation in the social media.
The Ebonyi State Government and the Office of the Governor has been inundated with calls for the contextual clarification of the online report and ceases this opportunity to assure the good people of Ebonyi State that the Governor was simply worries that ordinary law abiding citizens may be in more danger if an elected Governor was subjected to the inhuman treatment from some criminal youths.
His Excellency, Engr. David Nweze Umahi further reiterates his calls to security agencies to apprehend all those who were involved in the forceful withdrawal of firearms belonging to security details attached to the Governor for onward prosecution.
Furthermore, the Ebonyi State Government wishes to emphasise that in line with extant regulations, the Executive Governor is protected by the Nigerian State and attacks or threat to the safety and security of life of the Governor will be resisted by members of security agencies deployed to ensure his safety.

The Ebonyi State Government will continue to encourage all citizens and law abiding members of the general public to continue to support and cooperate with His Excellency, Engr. Dave Nweze Umahi in the task of eliminating all forms of criminality and brigandage within Ebonyi State.

Educational Excellence: Anambra Wins National Awards in Grand Style
Anambra at the weekend consolidated its position as Nigeria’s foremost state in the promotion of education as it won four of the Federal Government’s 24 awards bestowed on institutions and individuals to mark this year’s Teachers Day in the country.
None of the other 35 states plus the Federal Capital Territory received more than one award.
At the 2019 President’s Teachers and Schools Awards for Excellence in Education organized by the Federal Government through the Federal Ministry of Education, Anambra State won prizes for producing the best public secondary school in the country, the best secondary school administrator, and for producing both the first and second runners up in the Best Administrator category.
Flora Azikiwe Model Secondary School at Neni in Anaocha Local Government Area was recognized as the overall best secondary school and Reverend Sister Veronica Ifeoma Onwuadi of Maria Regina Model Secondary School in Nnewi decorated with the Best Administrator prize. Samuel Izuegbu of Owerre Ezukala Community Secondary School in Orumba South Local Government Area and Gabriel Izuegbunam of British Springs School in Awka were the first and second runners up respectively.
Flora Azikiwe Secondary School was presented with an 18-seater bus and Rev Sr Veronica of Maria Regina School, Nnewi, received a car from President Muhammadu Buhari for their excellent performances. The other three vehicles available at this year’s competition went to Lagos State for having the best public school teacher, Ogun State for the best private school teacher and Imo State for having the best private school.
“It is humbling to clinch four awards when many states did not get anything”, said Dr Kate Azuka Omenugha, the Anambra State Commissioner for Basic Education and Nigeria’s second female mass communication professor at the ceremony held at the Eagle Square in Abuja and attended by the Federal Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Malami Abubakar, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, who represented President Buhari; the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu; the Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba; as well as Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State who was honoured with the Best Teacher Friendly Governor award.
The commissioner continued: “It is worthy of note that Mrs Amala Ezenwa of Awada Primary School 1V in Obosi, Idemmili North LGA of Anambra State, won the Best Administrator prize last year, and this year Rev Sr Veronica of Maria Regina Model School in Nnewi has retained it for the state”.
Professor Omenugha recalled that Anambra State won four prizes in the same competition in 2017, stating: “Loretto Special Science Secondary School in Adazi won the first prize for academic excellence among senior secondary schools while The Queen of the Rosary College in Onitsha, another girls school, won the best prize in the junior high school category.
“Mr Clement Okodo of Central School in Abagana clinched the first prize in the teachers category while Governor Willie Obiano was rewarded the Best Performing Governor award”.
Governor Obiano has, meanwhile, congratulated both the prize winners and the state Commissioner for Basic Education on the “impressive performance which shows that Anambra has since become Nigeria’s most competitive state, including in education”.
In the congratulatory message, Governor Obiano recalled how Anambra became in 2017 the first state in Nigeria to win the President’s School Debate for three conservative years and last December won the competition for the fourth time by beating Benue State 3 to 1.
He concluded: “I thank all Ndi Anambra for their wonderful cooperation over the years which has enabled our dear state to become synonymous with excellence in various areas”.

Elders and citizens of Ideani community in Idemili North Council of
Anambra state have at the weekend sent a desperate save-our-soul message
to Gov Willie Obiano to save the sleepy community from an impending
crisis currently creeping into their midst as a result of the unilateral
introduction of what they described as “a Caretaker executive comprised
of strange characters”, to pilot the affairs of the community.
Leading the call on the state government to rescind its composition of the caretaker leadership was the chairman of the Regent and chairman of the community’s Igwe-in-Council cabinet, Chief Sylvester Okafor who addressed journalists who were on hand to witness the inaugural meeting of the new executive.
Save for the timely intervention of some elders and security officers of the Department of State Services(DSS) it would have been a massive bloody destruction of lives and property at the community’s Civic Centre when a section of the citizens insisted they must express their views when they were prevented from addressing the gathering. Apparently the caretaker team was suspicious of their intentions.
The ding-dong crisis which held up take off of proceedings started when the visibly vexatious Caretaker committee headed by Mr Remmy Okpoko who read out the letter from the state government which set them up prevented those who raised objections from speaking.
Okpoko had hardly taken his seat when questions started flying from different directions probing the source of the list of the caretaker members. They alleged that it couldn’t have come from one who wished Ideani well but from someone with sinister motive and aim. They accused the government and whoever that drew up the list of insensitivity, pointing out that a named key member of the committee has been banned from religious, traditional and cultural responsibilities in the community for abominably having carnal knowledge of one of his own daughters; consequently the Catholic Church has de-knighted him and he’s literally sent out of public office. Another member, Chief Theo Ikenwa has been on suspension from the community’s Igwe-in-council’s cabinet for conduct considered unbecoming of a high traditional chief. While Chief Egbuna Atuokoye in concert with another, dragged the community to court over issues bothering on leadership. The case is still pending in a high court of the state.
Chief Okafor, was sharp and direct on the stand of the Igwe’s cabinet when he said, “Ideani do not recognize the Caretaker committee. We were never consulted and didn’t make input to its membership. It’s like a list drawn by one or two faceless persons hence full of the wrong characters. So why should anyone who meant well for the people gather people with the negative baggage listed above to oversee the peace and progress of the same community. It’s sacrilegious…”
According to him, the cabinet which I chair has been in-charge of Ideani since our Igwe joined his ancestors. We ought to vet and make input in the list. The state government should dissolve them and allow the community to nominate a robust team”.
Taken up on the obvious rejection from virtually all quarters, its vice chairman, Chief Egbuna Atu-Okoye said the Caretaker committee was a wise creation of the state government. That the tension and crisis was a misplaced suspicion that they would dabble into the knotty issue of selection of a new traditional ruler to replace the late Igwe Humphrey Okoye whose last ofala was celebrated about two years ago.
Chief Cletus Uwaezuoke assured the citizens that from experience and records, no caretaker team anywhere dabbles into the issue of selection of a new Igwe. That the Okpoko committee’s terms of reference was clear and unambiguous.
But Chief Ernest Enenwa who did not hide his fears about the likely motive of those contrived the list said he want to ensure that all segment of the community was involved and carried along every step of the way.
A group of citizens had earlier written the state government saying, “We, the concerned Ideanians are terribly disturbed by the present development that we are seeing now and felt saddened that the
Government stand appears to be an open invitation to crises, breakdown of Law and order that could lead to colossal failure in restoring peace and tranquility in our town…”
They had accused Gov Obiano of stoking crises in no fewer than twenty named communities presently out of sheer arrogance of power and obstinacy and therefore appealed for caution in the Ideani matter. The communities include Awa, Nkpor, Nando, Nsugbe, Omasi, etc
