What? Women of this days

When my wife gave birth, I was at work. The doctor who was following my wife during her pregnancy called me to tell me to come to the hospital urgently.
When I arrived, I saw the
 child
. It was as if I had been hit with a log of wood on the neck; I had a headache.
I sat down and the doctor told me that my wife had left, when she saw the child. She did not support so she left despite her condition. She said that it is not her child and she left in tears. In summary, she abandoned the child in the hospital.
The doctor asked me what I wanted for the child. My answer did not take a second. In less than a second, without hesitation, I replied that I would take care of the child.
I had a small supermarket.
I sold the whole supermarket to stay with the child, to take care of him day and night. All my savings, and the check from the supermarket I invested in caring for the
premature
baby.
I gave the baby my heart. I gave him my patience, my love and my savings. I took care of him by myself, without the help of anyone except the doctor.
Without hiring a
 nanny
to mind him, I devoted one year of my life without working, without moving away from him, we lived on my savings until today. My little premature baby became a beautiful little boy.
My baby became cute and he grew up well, well fattened.
This is where his mother wants to come back to take care of her son, of her abandoned child. She came to ask for forgiveness on her knees.
She only cries when she sees how the child has changed.
I understood her and I forgave her mistake even if she acted badly. I want a mother for our son.
We had no more money to eat when I applied on the internet at 00hr. At 8am I was called for an indefinite contract in a factory and God paid me back handsomely.
God knows how to do things.

Admin. Lady Caro Eze shared views on the mystery and misery of contemporary sanitizers via the IDF NGO WhatsApp page. Read below

A tale of the sanitizers currently in the market are very diverse.

What comes to my mind as a PHARMACIST is actually why Nigerians capitalize on such sympathizing opportunities to cheat on fellow citizens.

First, sanitizers are antiseptic preparations alcoholic or esterified in nature to clearly reduce load of injurious organisms as bacteria, fungi, viruses, protozoa, etc.

Secondly, their contents depends on the target organisms. What this means is that the content and their quantities for bacteria are different from those of viruses much as they differ from those of protozoa and fungi, etc, which CAN NEVER be used interchangeably. This makes it a DRUG!

Miserably, what we see today is a means of chance to extort, especially in areas with less professionals.

My Experience Yesterday

While on my assignment to ensure we sensitize the public and equip them on the knowledge and importance of self care against the dreaded COVID 19, it shocked me the kind of hand sanitizers I saw. Indeed, we are in for trouble.

Its oily nature looks like a hexane extract whose miscibility with other components is near impossible.

Its water portion is simply water, sadly!

Its other constituents are starchy filtrates from grinded and macerated cassava or corn. Too bad for the common man.

It eventually gave a product whose use leaves you with a hand that simulates a pair of hand that was used to enjoy the uncontrollable juice from an extremely ripe mango. An experience we had in childhood. Very terrible.

My Take

There are WHO approved specifications for making Pharmaceuticals and consumables e.g. sanitizers. The major ingredients are Isopropyl Alcohol or Ethanol (percentage depends on kind of infection i.e. those against viruses will differ from those against bacteria), glycerine, water and a thickener like carbomer or glycol (saturated or unsaturated).

The water based alcohol-derived sanitizers are stable, better used as sprays which can be used against inanimate surfaces and finger nails as it is the case in COVID 19. Its stable under light and temperature not above 61°C.

The gel based alcohol-derived sanitizers are equally good but best against bacterial, fungal and protozoal infections. Sadly, they can't be sprayed on surfaces and door handles but can be used as hand rubs.

Indeed, the SKILLS of a LICENSED PHARMACIST is very key and cardinal in the outcome and stability of your sanitizers as the PHARMACIST considers the gamut of steps and all other factors.

Finally, much as its time to be careful, be careful the kind of sanitizer you buy.

May God waive this infection from our hands, Amen!

Pls feel free to call or inbox me before you buy any. Will advice appropriately.

Let's know if you also wanna buy a quality sanitizer.

Cheers!

The 67-year-old engineer, who returned from the United Kingdom, showed symptoms of the virus and died on March 23, 2020.

A Nigerian student died in USA for corona virus

Nigerian Student Expected To Graduate In Few Weeks Dies Of Coronavirus After Being Refused Test In US - Infotrust /IDCC News

After being turned down several times for the coronavirus test,25-year-old graduating Nigerian student named Bassey Offiong has died from coronavirus.
Acording to his sister, Bassey who was expected to graduate with a chemical engineering degree in a few weeks time, died of coronavirus on Saturday March 28, after allegedly being turned down several times for the coronavirus test in the Kalamazoo area while living off-campus, despite having fever, fatigue and shortness of breath.
Sister of deceased, Asari Offiong said;
“I told him to ask them to test him. He said they refused to test him. One medical staffer told him he had bronchitis.
“I know God has him in his presence. He loved God.”
Before his death, Bassey was hospitalized at Beaumont in Royal Oak and spent the last week on a ventilator in their intensive care unit.
In a tribute to him, President of Western Michigan University Edward Montgomery said;
“I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of one of our students, Bassey Offiong. Bassey was a young man of enormous potential… On behalf of the entire Bronco community, I want to extend my deepest condolences to his entire family, including his sister Asari, who has been generous in communicating with us regularly. They are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.”
The Kalamazoo County Health & Community Services Department also released this statement saying;

“We are truly saddened to learn of the death of a Western Michigan University student due to COVID-19. Our thoughts are with the student’s family and WMU as they grieve the loss of a loved one. We know this student was not a Kalamazoo County resident; however, this virus has no borders when it comes to who it affects and how it is spread… Stay home and, if you must go out for essential items, stay safe by taking preventative measures.”
Bassey’s death comes after the university first reported three positive cases of coronavirus.

Aftermaths of coronavirus, how would the world be like? What will everything look like after the coronavirus

Will we ever shake hands again? Or hug?
Yes. Though we may do so a little less often—and with some trepidation.
The coronavirus has turned life upside down, and when it’s over—which seems far off and even worse, indeterminate—our lives will be changed permanently. That’s always the case after an economic crisis like the Great Recession of 2008-2009 or the stock market crash of 1987. It’s even more true following major turning points in history like 9/11, World War II/the atomic bomb and the Great Depression.
The cause and effect is axiomatic and Newtonian. The bigger the cause, the greater the effect.
Clearly this is a biggie.
My point is the pandemic and its aftermath will be super-consequential for how we live the rest of our lives. It’s not too soon to think about that, in fact it’s responsible to do so—even though the virus has yet to peak—if only to take our minds off the never ending river of difficult news.
In its essence a post-pandemic world, (or really one where we acknowledge and accept that pandemics can and will occur—more on that from Dr. Mehmet Oz below) is about mitigating a new type of risk. There will be implications across the board; for business,  government, culture, sports and the arts, as well as behavior like shaking hands.
Let’s start with some first order effects for commerce, and move on from there.
First many businesses that are booming during the pandemic will continue to thrive, maybe not explosively, but should grow above trend for some time. People are already busy figuring out the new, new things.
“I think the next generation of amazing companies will be invested as we come out of this,” Mark Cuban, billionaire entrepreneur and owner of the Dallas Mavericks wrote us in an email. “Someone will have a unique and compelling vision of what the world on the other side can look like that will make us all wonder ‘why didn’t I think of that?’”
Let’s run quickly through the obvious to get your juices flowing: Teleconferencing and remote working tools; (Zoom—the No. 1 downloaded app for iOS—Skype, Teams, Slack, Hangouts, WebEx, etc.) Medical supplies and medicine, (masks, gloves, gowns, ventilators, rubbing alcohol, and then, huge, vaccines.) Cleaning supplies, (I know Clorox has outperformed the market by 30 percentage points year-to-date and still has a P/E of 27, but you have to figure CLX and its ilk will do well over the next five to 10 years.)

The pregnant 11years old girl from a gang rape

An 11-year-old girl (names withheld) has been confirmed to be four months pregnant after she was allegedly raped by one Frank and his friend, now at large in Ovwian Community in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State.

A copy of the four months pregnancy test conducted by Jobire Medical Diagnostic Laboratories.

It was learnt that the girl kept quiet and did not report the rape incident to anyone at home until her own mother noticed pregnancy symptoms in her.
This development made the mother to take her for laboratory test wherein it was confirmed that she was pregnant.
We gathered that the girl was allegedly accosted by Frank and his friend on Saturday, March 14.
They allegedly threatened to stab her to death if she dares raised alarm just as they dragged her to a house and ordered that she remove her clothes before Frank raped the girl while his friend who stood by the door in the house to watch.
it wasat the time the laboratory test was released that the girl explained how the incident occurred to her parents.

A statement signed by the Victim’s inlaw/surrogate father, Mr. Michael George and Comrade Israel Joe, a human rights activist, demanded that the suspects be immediately arrested and prosecuted by the Police.

“We have heard how the parents try to hide the suspects from facing justice. The prosecution of the suspects and bringing them to justice in line with the law is our paramount call.”

They also said that the Community leaders do not have the rights to settle the matter.
They also warned that if they insists or prevail on the police, they will also be charged for “compound felony.”

Contacted, the Substantive Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Onome
Onovwakpoyeya said, “For now, you cannot call that rape. A rape case is that which is reported within 48 hours and with medical report.
“It’s just sad that the girl is underage.”
