Nigeria reported the first corona virus-confirmed case on 27 February in the state of Lagos. The infected individual is a man who arrived in the country on 25 February from Milan, Italy and showed symptoms of the virus.
He was quarantined at the Lagos State Bio-security Facilities and samples were taken for testing. The case was confirmed by the Virology Laboratory of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital. He is currently being treated at the Infectious Disease Hospital in Yaba, Lagos.
The cases of Corona-virus is now drastically increasing in the world with the latest statistic shows that about 218,126 case of the deathly Corona virus had been report. Almost 8,910 people were reportedly death due to the virus.
The top leading countries with highest number of the virus are China, Italy, Iran, Spain, Germany and United State of America. Other leading countries with high number are France, South Korea, Switzerland and UK.
Meanwhile, many African countries were also not exempted from the high rate of the Corona Virus cases, with less than 10 death case recorded so far.

2. Kuwait with 142 cases of Corona Virus, with no death record, and no mortality rate. Kuwait ranked number 52 in the world
3. South Africa occupied the number 55 in the world, with total recorded case of corona Virus reached 116
4. Senegal with 36 cases of Corona Virus infection and ranked 86 in the world list
5. Tunisia recorded 29 total case of corona virus, with no death rate and ranked 94 in the world
6. Cameroon case of Corona Virus was 10, with spot of 110 in the world
7. Nigerian ranked 7th with 8 cases recorded and ranked 112 in the list of affected countries in the world chart
8. Ghana with 7 cases recorded and ranked 114 in the world
9. Democratic Republic of Congo recorded 7 case, just like Kenya, with no death record and the countries here ranked 116 and 117 respectively in the world
Rwanda with 7 cases and Ethiopia with 6 cases recorded.
