Reasonable leaders know when to leave the stage and they always leave when the ovation was still loud.
They avoid sit tight mentality and don't like over heating the polity.
Since my journalist friend told me what transpired between him and Ngige, I started respecting him.
I will break the Nsugbe Coconut, a veteran journalist friend of mine revealed to me that Ngige as an opposition party leader in Anambra called him one day and boldly told him that Obiano is a good man and that he should be projecting his administration good works in Anambra in their newspaper.
That thing Ngige did portrayed him as a man of truth.
As the 2021 governorship election is fast approaching, Ngige has come out boldly to say that he is too busy with national assignment as Minister under President Buhari administration and not eyeing the seat of Anambra Governor.
What he said as his official stand in respect of the forthcoming governorship election is commendable because it shows that he doesn't want to overheat the polity.
In all honesty, the only person that has the capacity to overheat the polity in Anambra State is Chris Ngige because of his closeness with the Presidency but he is not doing that and the likes of our self acclaimed Saint Peter Obi don't want to learn a lesson from his statesman behaviour.
Not as if Ngige decides to overheat the polity that he will succeed because God can still perform the miraculous work he did in the battle of David versus Goliath and put him to shame.
Am truly happy that he did the right thing at the right time unlike our self acclaimed Saint Peter Obi that is personally searching for disgrace in Anambra and will see that disgrace in a worst form in 2021.
One thing people should know is that life is not all about underrating somebody because somebody you underrated can bring you down, doubting Thomases should go and ask Goliath about what happened to him in the hands of David.
Ngige deserve commendation for living up to the expectation of a true statesman.
May God give him the divine wisdom to deliver on his national assignment to the satisfaction of President Buhari and Nigerians at large in Jesus Christ name, Amen.
Daalu nu.
