Sacking N-power beneficiaries is the best move by the government

The federal government has decided to sack almost 500,000 people, who were employed under the Nigeria's social investment programme (N-power). I particularly support the action of the government, as it has been reported that many of these beneficiaries have spent more months in the programme than expected.
It was planned that the beneficiaries would spend 2 years in the programme, but these people have supposedly extended their own stay by 40 months. The scheme which has lifted millions of people out of poverty by providing opportunities for Nigerian youth, is currently being used as a permanent working target for many of the beneficiaries.
If these beneficiaries refuse to leave at the stipulated time, then the government will be doing nothing wrong sacking the beneficiaries. New beneficiaries are supposed to come in, but the incumbent beneficiaries are not willing to leave willingly. This is a move that will ultimately blindfold the vision of the scheme.
Division of benefitting programmes must be evenly distributed among the citizens, and that is what the government is working hard to maintain. Nigerian beneficiaries must also know that N-power is not a life long employment, and must be ready to leave when their time is up to avoid issues like this
