Danny Shittu is a former Nigerian Footballer who played as a defender. He stayed in England for all of his careers, representing clubs in the Premier League and the lower Leagues too.
Shittu was born in Lagos Nigeria as Daniel Olushola Shittu before he moved to the UK at the age of seven and raised in the "tough area of London’s East End". He started his career in the academy of Carshalton Athletic in England. He was released by the club because he struggled to make good Impact on the team.
Shittu started his professional carrying at Charlton Athletic, he started 28 games for the Addicks and he scored a record 14 goals as a center back.
Two years after joining Charlton Athletic, Shittu signed a contract extension with the club till 2003, but he was loaned out after he signed the contract. He was loaned to Blackpool, he also scored on his debut in a 2-0 win over Lincoln City. He left Blackpool as a first-team player and the Fans of the club loved him. He was called back to Charlton after his loan expired and was loaned out again to Queens Park Rangers. He was sent off in his first game for QPR, but he ended up becoming a fan favorite there also. He appeared for QPR for Five years and scored over 20 goals for the London Club.
