Birth is entrance of animated body in the womb of a woman to the earth for experiencing.
The process involves act of procreation/conception, incarnation of a soul from the beyond into the developing body(animation) at about the middle of pregnancy and finally exit of the body from the womb(birth) at about the 9th month of pregnancy.
The cord connecting mother and the body in the womb called umbilical cord is cut by a midwife after the birth for the new born to be free.
The core of the animating soul is spirit. The spirit acquired the soul in the beyond and through the soul it animates the body. The spirit is therefore the real man using the soul and the body respectively in the beyond and on earth for experiencing. So the earthman is made up of body, soul and spirit. The home of the spirit is the Spiritual realm.
The entrance of man on earth is welcomed with joy by those already on earth because of the special nature of entry and the care accompanying it.
The highest ceremony of spiritual importance given to the new entrant is naming ceremony because a name is drawn from the thread of the weavings of a soul that surely and unswervingly lead him to homogeneous parents.Naming ceremony is performed in the sense of the believes of the parents/guardian of the new entrant.
From birth till early adolescent when generative power sets in, the volition of the parents/guardian determine how a child would be trained and what he does because the spirit, his real self, is yet to emerge for real earth-life experiencing using his freewill and intuition. At this period, a child is under the influence of the substantiate servants of God and so is inclined to bodily instinct and nature. Education/trainings of a child within this period should be such that will enable his real self emerge consciously to unfold his fullest power and be able to awaken or use the already awakened ability (talent), free himself from past earth-life burdens and avoid incurring more burdens. His fullest power lies in the use of his freewill and intuition.
A child is naturally protected from past karmic debt at this period except perhaps that drawn to him through carelessness of the parents/guardian in thoughts, words and deeds, but with the blessing connected with the naming ceremony the child attracts extra protection.
A great responsibility, therefore, falls on the parents/guardian for their children after the birth of each till generative power sets in. They should be conscious of the type of training given till a child becomes spiritually responsible for his thoughts, words and deed. With the child assuming responsibility, the parents/guardian role becomes advisory.
Death is exit of a soul from the body for continuing experiencing in the beyond.
The process involves the body ceasing it's functions due to age, sickness or accident, exit of soul from the body and finally separation of the soul from the body.
Exit of soul from the body means that the soul stand aside the body as breathing, heart beats and pulse beat cease.
Separation from the body means that the cord connecting the soul to the body called silver cord cuts.
Once the silver cord cuts, the soul begins real experiencing and can no longer be called back to the body by prayer or whatever means. The silver cord cuts by itself at varying time depending on the nature of the soul. For a light soul it cuts within seven days but for a dark or heavy soul it takes longer time. The more days it takes to cut, the more difficult it would be to call back the soul to the body.
A light soul is one that, while on earth, laid his treasure in heaven i.e. did as willed by God
A dark or heavy soul is one that laid his treasure on earth through one sided life of materialism and it's attendance evil. Where one's treasure is there also is his heart.
Exit of soul from the body arouses sorrow within his loved ones and associates because of intimacy established on earth which is felt to be lost by those close to him.
The highest ceremony of spiritual importance given to a departed soul is funeral rite. Funeral rite is a help for a seeking soul to find the right path for quick ascent. The participants in a funeral should be conscious of this and conduct themselves as may be directed by an officiating person in accordance with the believes of the exited soul.
Funeral rite should end with the burial of the discarded body to avoid anything that may distract the soul and draw his gaze downwards.
Funeral rite should be prepared quietly and conducted silently because the intuition is at it's best in quiet & silent mood. The soul perceives intuitively and is reached quicker through the intuition. So all volition should be directed towards the ascent of the soul, urging him to be open to helps that might come his way. This is achieved effectively when one sheds off within him all material distraction at the moment. Oral tributes or orations are not necessary since the words spoken could bind the soul, already on his way upwards, to the earth.
In some community, funeral rite extend beyond burying the dead body for some traditional reasons and/or material interest. Communities should endeavour to make their believe their tradition as their ancestors did. To combine present believes with the ancestral believes is serving two masters and shows lack of conviction.
Believe changes as one gets more spiritual knowledge and matures. Maturity is recognising & doing the Will of God. As believe changes so would tradition because believes mould tradition. Tradition is dynamic. A pure tradition is one that is fully adjusted to the Will of God.
Great responsibility falls on immediate family of a departed soul to ensure that the funeral rite is given in accordance with the wishes and believes of the departed member to avoid anything that will deter his progress and ascent. A seeking soul is fully open to receive from everyone consciously present no matter the person's believe but weighs/sieves what he receives. A seeker is one who consciously and intuitively looks for spiritual knowledge for his ascent. This world is not our home.
Birth on earth is death in the beyond and birth in the beyond is death on earth. One leads to the other. Birth and death are intervening points in the continuous existence of a soul in the world of matter consisting of ethereal matter and gross matter. The earth is in the coarsest gross matter. Birth and death repeatedly happen over reincarnations after a soul's first incarnation.
Reincarnation is a grace of God for the spirit to awaken & develope his abilities(talents) and to atone for guilts he may have incurred in the process on earth.
Celebration of birthday of self and death day of another must be done with extreme caution otherwise it might happen that the event burdens one spiritually as well as make the ascent of a long time passed away soul difficult or more difficult if he is already having difficulty.
Some religious/spiritual organisations commemorate the birthday and the death day of teachers around whom the organisation exist for definite reason: to be able to reflect more on the mission & the teaching and to revitalise their effort in living the teachings in the mission.
This explanation is based on the much I could presently draw from the book "In the Light of Truth" the Grail Message by Abdrushin. Examine it yourself for better understanding.
