Suspended Airline Company : We mistook Naira Marley for Fashola

Suspended Jet Company Refers To Naira Marley And Crew As ‘Bunch Of Useless People’

Executive Jet Services, the airline suspended by the Federal Government for ferrying Nigerian musician, Azeez Fashola, also known as Naira Marley, from Lagos to Abuja has cleared air on the controversial flight, saying it was a case of mistaken identity.

Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the airline, Mr. Sam Iwuajoku, explained that the airline was misled that the flight was operated to airlift Minister of Works, Mr. Babatunde Fashola and not the popular musician.

He, therefore, apologized to the Minister of Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika.

There had been outrage when video emerged of Naira Marley disembarking from the plane on landing in Abuja while he also hosted a concert at Jabi Lake Mall despite the interstate lockdown and flight restriction.

Sirika had, at the daily briefing of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 on Monday, announced the suspension of the airline for ferrying the musician when the permit granted to it was to fly a Court of Appeal Judge to Abuja and back to Lagos on a special assignment.

The Minister had said: “The flight, from the application was to convey Hon. Justice Adefope Okoji from Lagos to Abuja and back to Lagos, for an official assignment. “And in this challenging time, in our wisdom, we considered judiciary to be part of essential services to be delivered. “Having to move the Hon. Justice from Lagos to Abuja, was in order.”

But it was learnt that when the judge whom the special flight was originally approved for was contacted, he reportedly notified the airline that he was already in Abuja on a different flight. However, another request was made to the airline for a Lagos-Abuja-Lagos flight.

According to the passenger manifest dated June 13, 2020, the Lagos-Abuja-Lagos flight conveyed to Abuja: Adewunmi Segun, Chinonso Opara, Fashola Babatunde, Fashola Adeshina and Adeyeye Tobi. Others were: Michael Opeyemi, Idowu Emmanuel, Seyi Awonuga, Wisdom Intoto and Abayomi Akin.
According to the Chairman, there was no indication from the names in the manifest that Naira Marley was part of the flight. He said it was assumed that the Minister of Works and Housing was actually the person that was travelling. In addition, it was the approval already secured for the airlift of Justice Adefope Okoji, who was already in Abuja that was used to fly Babatunde, who later turned out to be Naira Marley and his entourage.

In a letter of apology to the Minister, signed by the Chairman/CEO of the company, Executive Jet Services explained: “So on Saturday morning, 13th June, 2020 my staff called and told me that they have a charter flight to Abuja and that the passengers were already at the lounge.

“As a rule, passenger manifest is always sent to me before any departure. “When I went through the manifest and I saw Fashola Babatunde, I thought it was the Hon. Minister of Works going to Abuja with his men, so we decided to do the flight, since he is serving Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”

ALLEGED KILLING OF TOYIN SALAU IN THE US, DABIRI-EREWA CALLS FOR THOROUGH INVESTIGATION

Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission has described the alleged murder of 19-year- old Nigerian-American Activist, Toyin Salau in the US as highly depressing and cruel.

She therefore urged the US government to conduct a thorough investigation on the circumstances leading to Miss Salau's death.

The NIDCOM boss condoled with the immediate family of Ms Salau who died while advocating against oppression and injustice.

Toyin Salau, a 19-year-old lady of Nigerian origin, was found dead days after she was declared missing in the city of Tallahassee, Florida, the United States.

According to the Tallahassee Police Department, Toyin, who spoke at Black Lives Matters protests in the city, was last seen June 6 near Wahnish Way and Orange Avenue, Tallahassee.

Salau was declared missing hours after she tweeted she was sexually assaulted.

Toyin tweeted that a man molested her that morning around Park Avenue and Richview Road, Tallahassee, Florida.

She said the man offered to give her a ride back to a church where she had sought “refuge” because of “unjust living conditions.”

“He came disguised as a man of God and ended up picking me up from nearby Saxon Street,” she tweeted. “I trusted the holy spirit to keep me safe.”

According to reports, the Tallahassee Community Action Agency conducted a search party on Wednesday night, starting at Bethel AME Church.

The demonstrators searched for hours. They carried flashlights and asked for medics to join them in case she was hurt.

Salau on June 15, after a week of her abduction, was found dead.

Before her confirmed death, she was very passionate about government policies, fighting racism and other issues affecting the society.

Aso Rock Villa Fracas: Buhari Prepares To Sack Top Security Aides Over Alleged Threat To His Cabal

It was gathered that President Buhari decided to take the step after Daura, one of his closest confidants, was seen weeping as he made his way to his office.

The last may not have been heard in the crisis rocking Aso Villa, Nigeria's seat of power in Abuja, where wife of President Muhammadu Buhari, Aisha, has waged an open and bitter war against some persons close to her husband including his Personal Assistant, Sabiu 'Tunde' Yusuf, and Mamman Daura, a nephew to the President.

The crisis, which started with Yusuf's refusal to embark on a 14-day isolation period after returning to Abuja from a trip to Lagos last week, led to the arrest and eventual redeployment of the Aide De Camp to Mrs Buhari and other security details attached to her after it was claimed that they threatened to kill the President's Personal Assistant in the process of trying to get him out of the Villa.

However, fresh facts at the disposal of SaharaReporters have indicated that President Buhari, who was deeply angered by the embarrassing situation, is set to fire his security details and some top aides for the roles they all played in dragging the Presidency into the mud.

Reliable insiders disclosed that the President is set to fire his Chief Security Officer, Kassim Idrissa, his ADC, Col. Mohammed Lawal Abubakar, his Chief Personal Secuirty Officer, Abdulkareem Dauda, whom Yusuf, a son to Buhari's niece, claimed to be threats to his life.

It was gathered that President Buhari decided to take the step after Daura, one of his closest confidants, was seen weeping as he made his way to his office.

Daura was said to have informed Buhari that his security aides were not only after Yusuf’s life but his own as well.

Outraged upon hearing this, Buhari gave the nod for all persons involved in the alleged threat to the lives of the two men to be removed.

However, Daura managed to save the 'head' of his son-in-law, Abdul Muktar, who works as Senior Special Assistant to the President in the office of the Chief of Staff.

This is despite the fact that it had been established that Muktar had been signing documents illegally since the demise of late Chief of Staff to President Buhari, Abba Kyari.

Sources revealed that the latest move by the President may further escalate tension in Aso Villa as Aisha already sees the move by her husband as a way to placate Daura and other members of the 'cabal' she feels are manipulating and turning Buhari against his immediate family.

The First Lady, it was gathered, is doing all she can to have Yusuf fired and other perceived 'enemies' removed from the Villa.

At the moment, the fate of Yusuf is not known as it was gathered that he may have fallen out of reckoning with the President for his role in the entire saga that has brought ridicule to Nigeria's Presidency in recent days.

Don't engage in online lectures : ASUU warns members

National leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has directed lecturers nationwide not to engage in online teaching of students.

Following the lockdown due to the Coronavirus, several universities resorted to online teaching while the Minister of Education in April directed public tertiary institutions to commence online lecturing.

But in a a memo, ASUU National President, Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi, asked lecturers not to be involved because without Senate’s approval, a vice chancellor has no power to change the mode of lecture delivery.

“Therefore, do not obey any vice chancellor’s call for online teaching under whatever guise. It is a blatant violation of the university laws. It is in the interest of our universities, our students and our nation to resist any attempt to undermine the ongoing struggle,’’ Ogunyemi explained.

The ASUU president warned chairpersons and other exco members not attend or respond to invitations to meetings on matters affecting the union without clearance with their zonal coordinators. He further added that no state university branch of the union should meet with its visitor without the permission of National Strike Coordinator Committee (NSCC) through ASUU president.

He revealed that against all odds, ASUU members and their families have remained resolute, stating “this is an expression of their commitment to the union’s patriotic struggle to rescue Nigeria’s education system. NSCC commends this act of patriotism.’’

Breaking: BE PREPARED AS SHARED BY IDF NGO PRESIDENT : CHIEF COL. A.C MEZUE

Everyone is telling you how to NOT catch #coronavirus, but NO ONE is saying what to do if you get it. Thanks to this nurse in the UK for putting this guide together:

Finally, some sensible advice.  From a GP Nurse in the UK.

What I have seen a lot of are recommendations for how to try to avoid getting coronavirus in the first place:

• good hand washing
• personal hygiene
• social distancing

but what I have NOT seen a lot of is advice for what happens if you actually get it, which many of us will.
So as your friendly neighborhood Nurse let me make some suggestions:

If you get Covid-19

You basically just want to prepare as though you know you’re going to get a nasty respiratory bug, like bronchitis or pneumonia. You just have the foresight to know it might come your way!

Things to start doing now:

Get 20 minutes sun on your entire body (or as much as possible) every day. This will dramatically increase your Vitamin D levels, which improves  your immune system.

If affordable take a good general supplement, plus 2000mg Vit C a day. Include ZINC, SELENIUM & GLUTATHIONE.

Scott’s Emulsion is a great general tonic (cod liver oil)

Things you should actually buy ahead of time:

*Kleenex*

*Paracetamol*

*Cough medicine* of choice (check the label and make sure you're not doubling up on Paracetamol)

*Zinc lozenges*

*Throat spray* like Andolex or TCP

*Honey and lemon* can work just as well!

*Vicks* vaporub for your chest is also a great suggestion.

*A humidifier* would be a good thing to buy and use in your room when you go to bed overnight. (You can also just turn the shower on hot and sit in the bathroom breathing in the steam)

*If you have a history of asthma* and you have a prescription inhaler, make sure the one you have isn’t expired and refill it/get a new one if necessary.

*Meals* This is also a good time to meal prep: make a big batch of your favorite soup to freeze and have on hand.

*Hydrate* hydrate, hydrate! Stock up on whatever  your favorite clear fluids are to drink, though tap water is fine you may appreciate some variety!

*For symptom management* and a fever over 38°c take Paracetamol rather than Ibuprofen.

*Rest lots* You should not be leaving your house! Even if you are feeling better you may will still be infectious for fourteen days and older people and those with existing health conditions should be avoided!

*Wear gloves and a mask* to avoid contaminating others in your house

*Isolate* in your bedroom if not living alone, ask friends and family to leave supplies outside to avoid contact.

*Sanitize* your bed linen and clothes frequently by washing and clean your bathroom with recommended sanitizers.

*You DO NOT NEED TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL unless* you are having trouble breathing or your fever is very high (over 39°C) and unmanaged with meds.

90% of healthy adult cases thus far have been managed at home with basic rest/hydration/over-the-counter meds.

If you are worried or in distress or feel your symptoms are getting worse:

*Pre-existing risks* If you have a pre-existing lung condition (COPD, emphysema, lung cancer) or are on immunosuppressants, now is a great time to talk to your Doctor or specialist about what they would like you to do if you get sick.

*Children* One major relief to you parents is that kids do VERY well with coronavirus, they usually bounce back in a few days (but they will still be infectious) Just use pediatric dosing .

*Be calm and prepare rationally* and everything will be fine. This is to inform us all that the pH for corona virus varies from 5.5 to 8.5.

All we need to do, to beat corona virus, we need to take more of an alkaline foods that are above the above pH level of the Virus.

Some of which are:

 *Lemon - 9.9pH*
 *Lime - 8.2pH*
 *Avocado - 15.6pH*
 *Garlic - 13.2pH*
 *Mango - 8.7pH*
 *Tangerine - 8.5pH*
 *Pineapple - 12.7pH*
 *Dandelion - 22.7pH*
 *Orange - 9.2pH*

How do you know you have coronavirus?

1.  Itching in the throat
2. Dry throat
3. Dry couch
4. High temperature
5. Shortness of breath
6. Loss of sense of taste & smell
7. Covid toes - toes turning blue/black

So where you notice these things quickly take warm water with lemon  and drink.

Do not keep this information to yourself only. Pass it to all your family and friends.
